Hi there! I'm Angelanj 😇(she/her), a second-year psychology student who is passionate about understanding and helping others. I believe in the power of a listening ear. Sometimes life throws curveballs, and it's wonderful to have a safe space to vent, share, or simply be heard.

I'm here to offer you that space, a safe zone to vent, celebrate, or simply be heard without judgment. Whether you're navigating a life challenge, need a sounding board for a new idea, or just want to chat about that amazing book you just finished, I'm your person!

Just a heads up: Between being a full-time student, and managing my own personal life, I can get busy and I may not respond quickly all the time. But know that your message truly matters. If my response takes a little longer, rest assured it's not because I don't care. I will try to reply to messages as fast as I can. If I haven't replied in quite a while and you really need a listening ear, try connecting with another one of the lovely listeners here on 7cups. 🫂💞

Let's talk openly and honestly. I'm here to listen without judgment, and offer support in any way I can. It's okay not to be okay, and together, we can navigate those tough times a little bit easier.

Here are some fun facts about me! :

🌸 I love the colors pink and purple! 💜💗

🌸 I love music!

🌸 When I'm not stressing over school I love to curl up with a good book! (Especially if it's romance 💒💖)

🌸 I love to watch movies an tv shows. Right now I'm currently watching Grey's anatomy!

🌸 My MBTI personality type is INFP

🌸 My zodiac sign is Scorpio ♏ 🦂 💗

🌸 My goal is to become a psychiatrist or psychologist someday! I'm fascinated by how our thoughts and experiences shape us.

Whether you’re new or returning, you’re an important part of this community, and we’re glad you’re here.   As we step into March, we welcome a season of renewal, growth, and fresh beginnings. The days are getting longer, the air feels a little warmer, and nature begins to bloom around us. This month is the perfect time to reflect on our own personal growth and embrace the changes that come with the shifting seasons! 🌱 March invites us to:   * Plant seeds of intention: Just as the earth begins to awaken, take time to set goals and intentions for the months ahead. What do you want to nurture in your life?  * Embrace change: Spring reminds us that change is a natural part of life. Let go of what no longer serves you and make space for new opportunities. * Practice self-compassion: Growth can be challenging, but it’s important to be kind to yourself along the way. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small.  * Connect with others: As the world comes alive, reach out to loved ones or this supportive community. Share your journey and listen to others—we’re all in this together.   Quote of the Month:   "Spring is the time of plans and projects." – Leo Tolstoy   March Highlight:   International Day of Reflection – March 9 -This special day encourages us to pause, reflect, and honor the journey we’ve been on. Take time to look inward, acknowledge your growth, and consider how far you’ve come. Reflection can be a powerful tool for healing and moving forward.   Monthly Prompt:   What is one small step you can take this month to nurture your personal growth? How can you embrace change or renewal in your life? Share your thoughts, goals, or reflections with the community!   This month, let’s focus on renewal—both within ourselves and in our relationships. Whether you’re working through challenges, celebrating victories, or simply taking things one day at a time, remember that you are not alone. This community is here to support you every step of the way.   Let’s make March a month of growth, resilience, and hope. Together, we can bloom beautifully, just like the world around us.   Welcome to March, friends. Let’s make it meaningful! 🌱💛   With warmth and support,   Angelanj 💗🫂

So Sorry for My Inactivity & Missed Emotional Health Week - But Here's Something for You 💓

...See more Hey everyone, I know I've been really quiet lately, and I'm so sorry for that. I especially feel terrible about missing Emotional Health Week (Feb 19-23). I was so excited to share activities with you all, as I promised in my February welcome, but things haven't been going well. To be honest, I've been feeling really sick and I've also been overwhelmed with school lately. It's been hard to keep up with everything, and I just haven't had the energy or focus to be present here as much as I'd like. I know that's not an excuse, and I truly apologize for letting you down. I value this community so much, and I hate that I wasn't able to deliver on what I promised. To make it up to you, even though it's a bit late, here are some prompts for emotional health that you can use whenever you need them: Journaling: * Write about three things you're grateful for today. * Describe a time you felt proud of yourself. * What emotions are you feeling right now, and why? * Write a letter to your younger self, offering words of comfort and encouragement. Mindfulness: * Take 5 minutes to focus on your breath. Notice the sensations in your body. * Go for a short walk and pay attention to the sights, sounds, and smells around you. *    Practice a guided meditation. Self-Care: * Do something that brings you joy, even if it's just for a few minutes. * Set a boundary for yourself and say "no" to something that's draining you. * Engage in a hobby you enjoy. * Drink a glass of water, and ensure you are eating something nutritious. Connection: * Reach out to a friend or family member and tell them you appreciate them. * Share a positive experience with someone. * Participate in this community, and share how you are doing. I hope these prompts are helpful. I'm going to try my best to be more present here going forward. Sending you all strength and kindness, Angelanj 💓🫂

Happy Valentine's Day 💌

...See more Happy Valentine's Day, beautiful souls! ❤️ I know this is a little late, as the day is coming to a close, but I still wanted to send a warm Valentine's Day wish to all of you amazing people. Whether your day was filled with roses and chocolates, or if it felt more like any other day (or maybe even a bit tougher 😞), please know this: You are so incredibly loved and worthy of love. Even if the world feels quiet around you, or if the whispers of loneliness are loud, your heart beats with a strength and resilience that deserves to be celebrated. Valentine's Day can sometimes amplify feelings of isolation, especially when we're already navigating the challenges of depression. If today was a rough one, please know that you're not alone. Many of us understand those feelings all too well. But beyond the hearts and flowers, beyond the expectations and pressures, there's a love that shines brighter than any other: the love you have for yourself. It might be buried deep, it might be flickering dimly, but it's there. And nurturing that love, being kind to yourself, is the most powerful act of self-care you can offer. So today, be gentle with yourself. If you need to cry, cry. If you need to rest, rest. If you need to scream into a pillow, scream. And if you can, offer yourself a small act of kindness. Maybe it's a warm bath, a favorite song, a walk in nature, or simply allowing yourself to be without judgment. Remember, your worth is not measured by whether you have a romantic partner, or by how many likes you get on a post. Your worth is inherent. You are valuable, you are important, and you matter! 💗 Sending you the warmest of hugs, and reminding you that you are so loved, just as you are. We're in this together. ❤️ Love, Angelanj 🫂💖

Whether you're just starting your journey or coming back after some time, know that you're not alone — we’re here to support each other. 💗🫂 February is often recognized as the "love month," with Valentine’s Day reminding us of romantic relationships, friendships, and connections. But it’s also a time to remember that love starts with ourselves. For many, this month can bring feelings of loneliness or emotional strain, but let’s not forget that self-love and emotional health are just as important. This is a time to honor your own well-being, take small steps to nurture yourself, and remind yourself that you are worthy of care and kindness! Quote of the Month: "Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line." – Lucille Ball 🌷 This month, let’s embrace the fact that we’re all a work in progress, and that’s perfectly okay. Every small step counts, and growth is a journey. 🌸💓 February Highlight: Emotional Health Week - (February 19-23) -This week, we’re focusing on understanding and prioritizing emotional health. It’s a chance to take stock of how we're feeling and learn new ways to improve our emotional resilience. Stay tuned for tips, resources, and discussions throughout the week! 💞. Fun Facts About Emotional Health Week: * Emotional Health Week was created to help reduce the stigma around mental health challenges and encourage open conversations about emotional well-being. * Studies show that focusing on emotional health can improve not only mental but also physical health — stress management and positive emotional habits can lower blood pressure and improve sleep quality. * It’s not just about managing negative emotions; Emotional Health Week highlights the importance of cultivating positive emotions, like gratitude and joy, which have been linked to better overall well-being. Prompts for February: * What’s one small thing you’ve done recently to take care of your emotional health? Whether it’s journaling, taking a mindful break, or reaching out for support, we’d love to hear about it. Share with us in the comments! * Emotional health often means knowing when to take a break. What's your go-to activity or practice when you need to recharge emotionally? * How do you show yourself compassion during tough times? Share a tip or strategy that helps you be kinder to yourself when things feel overwhelming. As always, remember that we’re a community of support and understanding. This month, let’s continue to uplift one another, remind ourselves that we are not alone, and embrace the journey of healing and self-care together! 💐💗

...See more Hey everyone! 🤍🫂 The holidays aren't a one-size-fits-all experience, and it's okay if your reality doesn't match the shiny 'holiday spirit'. There's no 'right' way to feel during this season.  This time of year can be especially challenging for those struggling with depression. The pressure to feel joyful and festive can be overwhelming, and it's easy to feel isolated or alone when everyone else seems to be celebrating. It's also common to experience feelings of loneliness, financial strain, self-doubt, and insecurity during the holidays.  Sending love to everyone who is: * Not feeling merry * Navigating difficult family situations *  Struggling with their health *  Grieving a loss * Not able to see their loved ones * Struggling financially * Facing an uncertain future * Feeling lonely * Looking back on a rough year * Not where they wanted to be by now * Finding it hard to be present You are not alone. We are here for you, and want to offer our support and understanding. You don't have to put on a brave face or pretend that you're feeling something you're not. It's okay to feel sad, anxious, or even angry during the holidays.  If you're feeling overwhelmed, please reach out to a friend, family member, or mental health professional.
