Family and health issues

I'm going through a very difficult situation and feeling very lonely. I live with my mother, but she doesn't support me regarding a serious issue I had with my brother, who assaulted me. My father, who has also been abusive towards me, has stopped supporting me financially as a form of retaliation for deciding to stay at my mother's house instead of going with him. This affects me a lot because I have an illness that requires expensive medication and treatment, and now I don't know how I'm going to afford it. I can't leave here because I'm not physically well, so I can't work, but being in this environment makes me feel even worse emotionally. I would really appreciate talking to someone who understands.

It sounds like an incredibly painful and isolating situation, and you don’t deserve to be treated like this by family. You should never have to choose between safety and survival. Have you looked into any local support systems like shelters, advocacy groups, or financial assistance programs that could help you get the medication and resources you need? There may be organizations that assist people in crisis, especially those dealing with abuse and medical challenges.

my father abused me for years when i was very little. i always kept it to myself. now i've told my mother, and everything is chaos at home. i feel alone, and my mother forbids me to tell anyone about it.

I'm so sorry you went through a difficult time growing up, especially that your mum said you cannot let it out.

Lo siento mucho. Espero que con el tiempo encuentres personas que te hagan la vida más bonita, porque no nos merecemos estar cerca de personas que nos hagan daño aunque sean familia

@loyalnectarine809 hi sweetie 💗 I'm so sorry your going through all this. I wish there was something I could do to help you. I'm also disabled and can't work, but I live in the UK so I'm extremely blessed that our health care is free💖 so I can't imagine how hard this all is for you🙁 I'm guessing your on benefits for being disabled, I hope that money helps you a bit. Gives you a giant tiny hug 💗 none of what happened is your fault, I wish you good luck on your journey, please never give up💖

@loyalnectarine809 This is an incredibly difficult situation, unfortunately, sometimes we can't build our lives the way we want and people can be mean to us. Being in a toxic environment for even a week is already a challenge, but I hope you can figure out your job and earn money for medication and moving. By the way, is your father at all ready to reconsider his decision?

Yes, a psychiatrist told him that it was not a good idea to pressure me with that and she says she will pay for my medicines again, although she hasn't done so yet.
