This is the primary method for submitting reports. Please follow these instructions for reporting: 7 Cups Help Center [https://help.7cups.com/hc/en-us]   >   Submit a request [https://help.7cups.com/hc/en-us/requests/new#]  In the Description box, please fill in these answers: 1. Your 7 Cups username: 2. The name of the listener you’re reporting: 3. The date of the incident: 4. Where did you encounter this user? 5. Reason for your report: 6. Attach any screenshots that apply to the situation you are reporting Important Tips for Reporting: * Provide as much detail as possible. This helps the 7 Cups team understand and address the issue effectively. * Screenshots are incredibly helpful. They provide additional context. * Please avoid submitting multiple reports for the same incident. This can slow down the process. * Familiarize yourself with the Community Guidelines. This will help you understand what behaviors violate the rules. (Link to the page below!) If you're having trouble accessing the Help Desk, please email your report to community@7cups.com All reports generally receive a response within 72 hours. Please wait at least 72 hours before sending a follow-up. ...See more Hi, everyone! I hope you're all having a nice February 🌞 Over the past few weeks, we have been really busy behind the scenes trying to think of the best ways to advance the Safety Team. During our hard work, we have decided on a few changes that will hopefully achieve this goal. Here are the changes that we have decided on: * As of March 1st, filling in the form when flagging is mandatory. I know -- filling in forms can be tiring, tedious, just plain annoying. But, as it stands, this is the only way we can measure who is actively flagging on the team. If you are an ambassador, this does not apply to you. In every other case, you must fill out this form, linked here [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdXEfHsSo9L1aj48p6v0umXsRL-P-bQJCZBBYA0s_n8n6-V9Q/viewform]. *  We are increasing the amount of cheers you earn per flag. Yes, you read that correctly! Currently, we award 10 cheers per correct flag -- this is being upped to 25 per correct flag. To put that into perspective, if someone correctly flags 10 profiles, they will receive 250 cheers, whereas before this point, it would have been 100. This is quite a big difference, and is in effect as of this month! If we see an increase in the amount of users submitting forms when flagging, we will further increase the amount of cheers earned. Thing is, I hid the chat once we were through talking (thinking I could unhide it at a later date). Is there any way to unhide to chat and send a follow-up message? Thanks a lot!

...See more So I was pretty active listening several years ago when, if I recall correctly, there would be like 80,000 requests handled per week.  I dropped out for a while but came back about 4 or 5 months ago for a couple of weeks and the number of requests had dropped to around 45,000, if I recall well. I figured it was just around the start of summer so maybe that's why the number was so low so I dropped out again and figured I'd try again later.  Now I check again and the weekly number is 37,000, and the queue has maybe 2 or 3 people waiting, sometimes none, at a time of day when typically there would have been 20 or 30 requests in the past. So what did I miss? Is the model now mostly to send people to the online therapists, and no longer utilize the volunteer listeners? Or has something else happened? Can someone please enlighten me?

Glitch with Listener account

...See more After changing my password on my Listener account last Thursday, it automatically locked me out of my Listener account to where it automatically logs me into my member account with no option to log into my Listener account. I put in a support request for this, but still have not heard back. My main concern is that my regular listenees will wind up thinking I'm ignoring/ghosting them if this goes on any longer as there appears to be no way to message my listenees from my member account to tell them what happened. I'm not sure what to do.

...See more Hello, Gentle Reader... I was wondering if there was a way on this website, that the listeners among us could discuss and learn something from one another. If you have been here long enough, you realize you use the same language mannerisms all the time, from your choice of greetings and reactions to the story you're reading. There may be good ideas among the whole group if this kind of communication is allowed. What do you think? What do you known about the rules? Thanks 😀

...See more I would say at least 1/month I when browsing listeners within the first 9 I see one where the profile preview looks normal, with the exception of no chat now/leave a message appearing under their name. When you hover over this accounts, it says user not found and their profile links to this Not FoundOops! The content you're attempting to access could not be found. For assistance please contact the Support Desk [https://help.7cups.com/]. Why does this happen? If they do need to appear in browse listeners for some reason, why so high up?

...See more There is a problem which has been ongoing for a while here. It is to the point where I feel like quitting as a listener and leaving the site forever. It is no secret that there are certain repeat members here who are misusing the intent of this website. They block immediately upon a chat being accepted, because they are trolling hoping to find a certain type of listener who they can manipulate with their made-up stories. Sexual-oriented screennames keep popping up in the que, men looking to have an inappropriate chat with women. This is not a dating chat site! I also get many members begging me for my contact info outside of the site. They don't want to talk to me unless I go off-site. Also the same very similar screennames keep popping up in the que with the same problem every day. Obviously accounts that got deleted, so the same person comes back again and just makes a similar screenname. Why doesn't the site start blocking IP addresses so these trolls can't keep coming back and wasting our time? So what is the site doing to deal with these problems that are dragging down the reputation of 7cups? It is really making me lose my faith in humanity.
