March 2025 Community Update!

Dear Community,
I hope you all are well! Spring has arrived a little early here and it is starting to warm up. I’m very thankful!
Check out all the updates below. There is a lot cooking. One topic that is relevant to our work and one that I spend way too much time thinking about is problem solving. Check out my post here, titled “Breaking Out of Mental Prison” if interested in the details.
High level, we believe that the problem is the path. A plan is good and necessary, but it never quite maps to reality because reality is much more complicated than any plan we can make. The problem is the path approach makes this simple by saying simply solve the next biggest problem in front of you. And then that is how the path unfolds before you.
We have all been solving tens - maybe 100s - of thousands of problems on 7 Cups. These monthly reports, in some ways, are like a reporting to all of you about the problems we’ve solved. A big thank you to each of us for helping us identify and solve problems. Those efforts have been key to our growth.
Thank you!

Hi, everyone.
Congrats to our last batch of folks who were involved in the initial testing of the Transformation Wheel and now hold the Wellness Warrior badge: @Admirablerainbow2825 @madiisu @MarinaLexi @Melss27 - Thanks for your thoughtful feedback! We’ve even got some testimonials out of all our testing here!
The Transformation Wheel (TTW) has been released officially as a self-paced challenge, complete with all the steps and forum posts to hold you accountable. At the end of your 4 weeks, you’ll earn a badge exclusive to this exercise. I challenge you to dedicate 4 weeks to tackling a problem in your life using this therapeutic tool. Check out the comprehensive slidedeck here to see how it works. If you’re curious, this document outlines the whole challenge so you’ll know what to expect and what you need to do week by week - just make sure if you want to take part in the challenge to get a badge at the end to sign up officially (form here)!!
This mini-program is overseen by yours truly, so DM me any questions. Also, if you’re a creative who’d like to help make additional graphics and offer suggestions to the layout to make this process more accessible, I’d love the help! This initiative will be made into a Growth Path this next month too, so stay tuned for that!
The Welcome Committee Team continues to gain momentum and we’re in need of leaders to help run it! If you’re a Verified Listener and/or member of the Welcome Committee Team, and want to step up to support the program, consider becoming a Project Agent (link here).
Lastly, and most excitingly, I have brought back the Appreciation Wall series and am calling upon each of you to tag at least one member and one listener and help us paint a vibrant picture of our community!

In the Conquering Worry series, we explored three powerful topics: Challenging Isolation and Creating Home, Cultivating Gratitude, Rest Before You Get Tired and Practical Tips from Experts. Each offers practical insights for managing worry with a balanced mindset, catch up on them here.
The Tiny Steps series introduced three new rounds, based on the themes: Nature Connection, Being Kind to Your Body, and Creating a Calm Environment. These small but impactful actions help build sustainable well-being. See all the steps here!
Meanwhile, in the Building Café series, we got creative in the kitchen with Craft Your Signature Hot Beverage, Craft Your Signature Cold Beverage, and Create Your Signature Dessert! If you are a teen, be sure to submit your ideas here
The 7 Cups Internship team updated the internship emails sent out to interns when they started the program with an updated sheet to be sent out to each batch with all the important dates and deadlines they need to be aware of.
Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslims. You can join the reflection and discussion here.
Obs
In February, we organized the Random Act of Kindness Week & Eating Disorder Support Awareness Week. Both events went well, and thank you to the community for their presence, compassion, and empowerment. We received an average feedback rating of 9.20/10, which is lovely. Thank you to everyone who shared their reflections and offered encouragement. We are looking forward to having more high-quality events throughout 2025.
Updates and changes were rolled out to the Hero Hosting initiative to improve encouragement, visibility, and appreciation for our hosts and supporters. The Spotlight for Jan & Feb 2025 and the SC appreciation leaderboard were posted.
Thank you to all the listeners and leaders for their presence, guidance, and support in reviving the Listener Support Chat and Teen Listeners group chat. It was wonderful to witness LSR/TL chat being relatively more active compared to previous months. To appreciate everyone’s efforts, we posted the Appreciation board for Jan 2025 here.

This month, we worked on launching a fixed Growth Path builder. Growth paths on 7 Cups are a great feature which allow therapeutic learning and practices with only a few steps every day. The builder allows us all to build new paths and share our collective knowledge and experience. You can learn about how you can get involved here.
During this month we have also worked on restructuring the Content Development and Marketing (CDM) Academy Program. The new version will be available during the first week of March.
We look forward to announcing new group and community events next month - stay tuned to make use of the best content 7 Cups has to offer!

A few updates from the teams!
LCT - Our Coaches have been actively taking on requests and have been doing fantastic work. We onboarded a new Listener Coach, we have also doubled our activity in the team due to our collective work. We look forwards to grow and develop new paths.
We onboarded 4 new Teen Quality Stars and the QMs are doing brilliantly in their roles.
Care Team: We just onboarded a new Guide and we are working on onboarding 2 more! We are in the process of planning an Ask Me Anything session and are staring to think about our refreshers for the month of March. We are looking for a Project Agent to help with outreach and events too, so please feel free to fill out our application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf9o3K6itv70mu74RlBbtLzWsKPlK2kjQHqGv8U7p93lwTLFA/viewform

We are currently looking for new additions to join our Communities Leadership Team as Project Agents. There are currently four focuses available for you to choose from: Events, Engagement, Community Building and Leadership. The application form and full details of what we are looking for can be found here.
A friendly reminder for all forum supporters, community mentors and community mentor leaders are asked to fill out the Subcommunity Leadership Check-In Form for the month of February so we can keep updated on what’s going on in your team and roles and see how we can offer our assistance.
Lastly, if you notice or experience any difficulties while using the forums, please help us to track and report any bugs in this thread. A gentle reminder when reporting bugs or issues, please give as much detail like time and location as to where it was experienced and include screenshots or any error codes so we can properly investigate it. Thank you for your continued support and here’s to what the new month brings.

@GlenM
Hi everyone! 😊 ❤️
Thank you for all of the updates as well as for all of the hard work. It's all important whether immediately visible or things in the works with ideas being generated. Slow and steady wins the race! 😊
Definitely a big thank you to all that identify a problem, all that help to provide solutions and also to those that are patient enough to listen to the potential opportunities!
When people don't listen, then others stop speaking (that to me is the danger zone, when everyone grows silent). Being open to the thoughts of others is a beautiful thing and a skill set all on it's own. It requires having enough confidence in yourself to not feel threatened by anothers moment of brilliance, it requires being able to share the space and investing in a true teamwork effort, many times requires a thoughtful and kind way to thank another for the input even if it might not work at this time (and therefor keeping the door open for future ideas) and also requires the mental gymnastics and flexibility to tease an idea apart, put a spin on it, change it up a bit and then bring it to fruition if there ever was something of value there.
I've met a lot of people in life that are the nay sayers ; those that quickly say "that won't work". Sometimes it just isn't a good idea unless it was their idea, lol 😊, they may abhor additional work or effort, sometimes they might be resistant to change even if it's change in a positive direction as it's simply their nature. They may lack vision and the capacity to see what good could come of a new way of doing things and like to stay with "this is the way we've always done it. This is what works".
So, big round of applause to all of you that are movers and shakers and make the magic 💫 happen around here! Thank you for having your finger on the pulse and listening to others here in the community. And as always, Weeeeeeeeeeeee-weeeeeeeee! 😊
*high fives* 😊 *hugs* ❤️ and Happy Spring! 🌱
