@BlatantHonesty in one way I agree with you. In Buddhist philosophy the mind is a continuum which means even if it cycles through births and deaths, it goes on.

In another way I disagree with you. From the moment this body we inhabit is born, it begins its definite course to its death.

The danger of believing there is no death is we can easily fall into the misguided belief that we have all kinds of time so we can waste time pursuing things that do not matter. With a recognition that death of the body is definite means we are motivated to use this precious human life to advance and progress in whatever ways we are able to.
