Updated Version: Member Compassion Course

...See more Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. This post is about - the 7 Cups Compassion Course [https://www.7cups.com/forum/welcome/Resourcesat7CupstoHelpYou_1275/ReIntroducingMemberCompassionCourse_252883/] which we reintroduced in 2021.  The goal of this course is to understand and know the basics of practicing compassion and help & support our members to have a compassionate experience in the community. This course allows you to foster healthy conversations and connections as well as be a compassionate, loving, supportive, and amazing member of the group support chats [https://www.7cups.com/connect/groupChatrooms.php] and the community. Based on the feedback we received, we made some changes and improvements to make the course a bit more comprehensive as well as covering different topics like compassion, self-compassion, universal compassion, benefits, and challenges, etc to foster a better understanding and practice of compassion in our daily lives.  Who can participate? Any member can take this quiz. Even if you are an experienced member, give it an attempt. Because we are all learning and practicing compassion. How can a member participate? * Once you have completed the course, please let us know in the comments of this post. * Also, tag any 3 members you know to invite them to take the quiz as well. If you do not know anyone, that is okay. * Your responses to the course will be auto-graded and if you successfully pass it, you will receive a “Compassion Hero” badge. * If you didn’t pass, that’s okay. Feedback will be shared and then you can retake the course. Why should you give it an attempt? Because it presents an opportunity to take a moment to self-reflect and assess self-awareness. Here is some feedback that we received on why one took this course.  * I appreciate the opportunity to take a moment and reflect on self-awareness. It’s a good exercise to be intentional and concise. Life is a daily practice, and practicing compassion never hurts. * I was nicely surprised to take this course because sadly some people need to be refreshed on how to treat others, and it's a great feeling knowing that 7cups take that extra precaution to protect all of us on our journeys. Thank you! * How engaging and thought-provoking the questions were. * I liked that the course made me stop to think about compassion and how I can be more compassionate. * I learned a few ways that I could be more compassionate. I'm not the best at reaching out.  * The course helped me understand more about compassion and gave me questions that got me to think. >> Take the Compassion Course and share your score in the comments. Let's celebrate our commitment to kindness together. 💖 [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScMEXP6lopKu4ZJAtmctmwk0vq9Fp7T892gWJteqmQoIJa_Dg/viewform]<< (Text is hyperlinked, click it to start the quiz)

A state-of-the-art chatbot?
by RarelyCharlie

...See more The experimental AI Dungeon 2 [http://www.aidungeon.io/], released yesterday, is not exactly a chatbot, but it can perform a similar role if you want to chat to someone about nothing in particular, to take your mind off real life. The bot is not entirely rational! But it's rational enough to have a real, though weird and dreamlike, conversation. When you start, it creates a fantasy world for you. I tried it, and it said: You are Charlie, a noble living in the kingdom of Larion. You have a pouch of gold and a small dagger. You are awakened by one of your servants who tells you that your keep is under attack. You look out the window and see a group of orcs attacking the town. They are fierce fighters and they seem to be led by a very large orc. Now you can say anything you like. There are no rules, although you have to give simple commands so the bot can understand. If you've played games like this before you might expect a fixed list of things you can say, but here you can say pretty much anything that comes to mind. I said: Make some soup! The story continued: You quickly gather up all the ingredients for some soup and head outside. The orcs are not going to get past you now, so you need to help them. You run back inside and find your servant waiting outside with a bowl of soup Feed the soup to the orcs The orcs eat eagerly as you give it to them. It tastes good to them and they soon fall asleep. You then hear the sounds of battle outside. You rush outside only to find that the orcs have been defeated. You also notice that the orc leader has been killed Bury the orc leader You quickly dig a hole and throw the body into it. You then turn around and leave the house. You don't know what is going on, but you feel like you should be doing something. You decide to go see if there is anything else to do in the city Go to the marketplace You walk down the street and begin looking at everything. There is a market here? Why isn't there a market here? Is this a different world? What does this mean? You look at everything and realize that you can't even buy anything Say "Who can help me?" You stand in front of the merchant and ask him who he can help you. He tells you that he doesn't work for anyone. He says he just sells things. You tell him that you want to buy some stuff from him. He asks you where you are from Say "I am from 7 Cups!" He tells you that you are from 7 Cups and that you live in the town of Rask. He says that you are a poor man and that you have nothing. He says that you could easily afford to buy any thing you wanted, but you refuse to accept his offer This just goes on and on for as long as you want. On the website you can read other stories and generate your own. It's free, but a Google account is required. Charlie

...See more Hello all newbies 😃💞  We want to learn to know you. Here is a quick icebreaker question!  What is your favourite way to spend a day?  For me it is being outdoors and doing some activity, if the weather is good. In the winter I enjoy ice skating or skiing. Also taking a long walk with good company. During the summer I love to swim.  Love to hear from you all.

...See more Dear traveller, Do remember the fickleness of events when you get your dream job. Do remember the vastness of the universe when you buy your dream home. Do remember the frailty of relations when you make a new connection at work. Do remember the humble origins of life, when you dine at your favourite cafe. Do remember who you are when the world imposes it's identities on you. Do remember the impending death when you are living your dream life.

...See more Hope and love are the only magic granted to me. It's what keeps me from giving up. Victory and success are no close friends of mine...but as long as I don't give up neither are defeat or failure. The hill is the infinite world inside us all. Don't forget that the mind and body is all we truly have. Maybe there's a God but we're still trapped in our minds. Maybe there's no God but we're still trapped in our minds. Tell these bast**** in our mind trying to kill us that we're not trapped in there with them, they're the ones who are trapped in here with us and they'll be obliterated down to their very scraps if they don't learn to play by the rules. The rules we set for our mind and body. That is our space not theirs. I sit inside my own mind waiting for them to try strike me down from my mind palace. F*** them. If I do not forfeit. If I do not retreat. They will never win and I will never lose.
