Here I go first! The movie that touched my heart the most this year once again is🤩

"The Karate Kid (2010)" I revisited this film this year, and it still stands out as a truly inspiring story. It’s not just about martial arts; it’s about resilience, finding strength within yourself, and learning to face challenges with humility. The bond between Dre and Mr. Han was so heartwarming and reminded me of the power of mentorship. The way Dre grows through the movie, both physically and emotionally, was a powerful reminder to never give up, no matter the obstacles.✨

I would love to hear other's responses, if anyone would like to go next!💛

@KindleMissie

Don't ask me about the best book of 2024 – I read loads of books in all sorts of genres, so I can't pick just one! The best film I watched in 2024 was Dune 2. As for the show, it was a K-drama called Death's Game, even though it came out in 2023. It's heavy, with themes of death and su!c!de, so be warned. The plot follows a guy who's at rock bottom, then meets Death and has to live 13 lives to earn another chance at life. I loved it – fast-paced, gripping, and great characters. And Seo In-guk.

I totally get what you mean about not being able to pick just one book😂 there are just so many great ones! weeeeee✨ Dune 2 sounds like it was incredible, I’ve heard so much buzz about it and honestly the bald guy scares me so much hehehe😂. And Death’s Game definitely give goose bumps but does pique my interest😉. It sounds like a really intense show with such a unique premise! I can see why you loved it so much, especially with Seo In-guk in it, he’s amazing!👌

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I’ll definitely keep it on my radar.💛

@KindleMissie The first movie that inspired me was both Inside out and Inside out 2, because they highlighted how vitally important it is for us to talk about mental health with kids and young people. It needs to be normalised and prioritised. I loved reading Normal people and Conversations with friends by Sally Rooney, she just is able to tell  story that puts you at the heart of it, walking in the characters shoes ♥️

@Amanda84 WOW!✨ I love how Inside Out and Inside Out 2 highlight the importance of talking about mental health, especially with kids. It’s such an important topic, and it’s awesome that movies like that help normalize the conversation. I haven’t seen those movies yet, but I can totally see why they’d be so inspiring. I watched Sybil once, and it left a big impression on me. It’s such a powerful film, and I find that I’m drawn to stories like that too. They really help open up discussions about mental health, which is something we definitely need more of. I haven’t read Normal People either, but I’ve heard so much about Sally Rooney’s ability to draw readers into her characters’ emotions. It sounds like she really has a way of making you feel what the characters are going through.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it's great to connect over these topics!💛

@KindleMissie my absolute pleasure 😊 be sure to give Inside out a look, I think our young people's mental health is more important than how they perform at school and this is an amazing conversation starter to have with them 😊

I recently watched The Whale (2016) with my dear friend and it really inspired me to be honest with myself even in my writing. I also finished reading I’m glad my mom died by Jeanette Mccurdy (2022) it was really raw and honest. I really connected with her story and felt seen.

@Shyness98 ooooooh Awesome!🌟 Seems like both the movie and the book represent very powerful topics. I can see how they would inspire you to embrace honesty in your writing. It's incredible when something resonates so deeply that it pushes us to be more authentic in our own self-expression. Hats off to you buddy!🤩💖🌟

I will suggest as movies La La Land, big classic and is so good, and also a bridge to terabithia, if you like more like crimes I'd suggest the bone collector and taking lives, theyr a Lil violent but Angiolina plays theyr roles sooo good, this are the ones I suggest
