Just discharged

Hi all! I was just discharged from the hospital (Bipolar 2 here), and I’m looking for peer support as I get back into real life.

@emotionalMaple2600
hey very glad to hear you've been discharged! how are you since this post?
It’s been a serious struggle, but I think I’m getting over the post-discharge hump. Did lots of thinking, lots of listening to music, lots of journaling, lots of praying, kept going to therapy, meds are also probably kicking in now that I’ve been on them a few days. Then I performed yesterday (first time since September, I’m a musician), and had good opera/show rehearsals, so I’ve been keeping myself busy with good music projects. Something clicked after my performance and I felt more like myself :)

@emotionalMaple2600 that's great to hear - that slowly you're feeling like yourself again!

@Maust7Cups You said something very profound,,,,,,,❤️🧡🧡 """ slowly) its a process comming out of horrible,crazy depression, its instant going doen....like a one way, broken light switch ...then .....long extended terrible dark dangerous depression.getting better can be a very dhort walk, half block,anything different at all .force self to do some dishes somr laundry,change a room a bit....get outside!!!!!!!! even for sixt seconds, first few times .force oneself .several large breaths of clean freadh air, look around, think of the changes of Springtime consider, index count lifes blessings, work on ignoring voices, pretending to ignore voices not responding,not reacting ,NOT doing what the voices say. all this stuff takes practice , it works!!!! doing ..little tiny things each day is path yo getting better.ive been without my very badly needed medication for 8 years!!,😰😵💫 .i need abilify or rexulti. these meds have saved my life,genuinely.... sooooo i practiced all the stuff i posted right here,jutt now.....these little things have ,this winter truly ,factually , aldo saved my life. i have frustrative ahravativr psychosis fits super duper bad sometimes..alone, by myself. lonliness is a big pary of my trouble.evrn unamaginable psychosis evrnts are greatly reduced by thi as. will be fantastic if this helps somone
....

Sounds like you’re on the road to recovery. Good for you for having the courage to perform. That takes a lot of courage
