Hello! I chose the picture of an apple because it represents to me growth and potential. The apple can grow to become the best apple it can be. I think we all have potential, and I also believe that most people are not solely good or bad- we are a combination of light and dark. That's just human nature. I've been here since 2013, and I am now in my 30s. I have always been told I'm a good listener and person to come to. People have come to me years after talking to them because they remembered I was someone to confide in. I like to think of myself as open minded, non judgmental, and compassionate. I try to be honest, but tactfully so. I find the best people in my life are those that tell me what I need to hear, not what I want to hear, and that is something I practice with others. I hope to be here for you, and I will cheerlead you on. I cannot give advice, but I will be a support for you. I take casual chats, so even if you're just bored or need someone to talk to and don't have a pressing issue, I am happy to talk to you.  My strengths lie in the subjects I have listed on my profile, so I will not be the best fit for everyone (and that is okay!). I hope everyone can get the help they need from whoever it is, even if it's not me. If I cannot help you, I will let you know and try to connect you with someone that can. I do the best with chats that can be asynchronous, as my schedule varies and I don't want to promise I can sit down for a real time chat if I cannot. Whatever the reason you are here, I am proud of you. When I joined 7Cups in 2019, I was in a difficult spot mentally and wanted to share my experience by listening. Growing up, my main goal was to get people to smile in the difficult moments and I still believe that is one of the best goals I can put on myself. However, I understand people pleasing can come at a cost so I want to balance that with self-care.  A few months into listening, I realized I was nowhere near that balance, so I took a break. I came back last year to dedicate my time to contributing positively to this community while improving my own skills. Leadership Roles I started out with 7Cups Academy Leadership Program that led me to Care Team. I worked myself from Guide to Quality Mentor. Then from Quality Mentor to Quality Leader. Then, finally, to Ambassador. My path lead me to supporting Listeners but I will never forget that I am here to make Members experience as comfortable and warm as possible. You are worth it.
