I am a university student looking to accrue experience treating mental health. This is my first time really foraying into anything like this, and I have no real prior experience. I want to be there for someone, and I'm committed to doing what I can as a listener and volunteer for the people who want to talk.

I see it that a person needs to have someone to listen and not to judge you or to order you. You need someone who understands you and who has gone through it themselves. Between  January and May  &  September and  December / Summer  Varies / Working  from 9 pm - 1 am  Eastern / Any other time and Vacation 6 pm - 1 am Eastern times   Hours: are Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Sat 6 pm - 1 am Eastern time - (Tue, Sun off).  I am doing my schedule according to Schooling.

Kevin. Thirty-something years old. Professional software engineer. I love to help others by listening and talking to them. I hope talking to me is helpful. I hope my work as a Listener helps people live happier and more successful lives. I have experience with depression. Across many years. Fortunately I am doing so much better now than I used to be. Now I frequently go long periods with feeling depressed. The experience with depression got me interested in therapy as a way of helping people improve their lives. Outside of 7cups, I am also passionate about software engineering, computers, and technology. I love writing code and building software. I also love listening to music, working out at home, playing piano, composing music, attending meetups, and watching basketball. I live in the USA and I am in the Pacific Time Zone.
